Blog de Mark update
Nouveau article sur son blog, il nous parle de son anniversaire et de se qui va se passer cet année pour lui, des voyages en europe, en Asie, en Australie et peut être son premier voyage en amérique du sud. Il parle de sa collaboration avec Koopa, la sortie de l'album de Socratic, des futurs mises à jours de +44, de l'album de Chris Holmes et enfin d'un prochain podcast. Voici son article :

yes indeed today is my 36th birthday. old, old, old. God help me, i am old. and grey. and did i mention i’m old? anyway, thanks to everyone who has been sending their kind wishes. there’s a lot going on this next year. lots of recording, lots of travel, europe, asia, hopefully australia, my first trip to south america, maybe even antarctica. music and the road in the ocho. i’m also working on a collaboration album that i hope we can announce soon. very excited about that. the koopa record starts tracking in a few weeks. socratic record to be released soon, as well as our lunar activities. i know everyone is anxious for updates on +44, and i’ll keep you up to date on everything going on in +44 land. oh yeah and the they only want album from our friend chris holmes! he’s a dark character… disturbed. oh yes, and the ocho will see the return of the podcast very soon. you’ll even get some free tracks from bands. so subscribe and be in the know.
anyway, there you have a lot of empty promises for this year. but until then, happy birthday to me."

In other news, MERCY KILLERS have had to cancel their West Coast tour with BOUNCING SOULS and DEAD TO ME. I'm heartbroken we had to cancel this tour, I adore the SOULS, and was looking forward to hanging with the guys from DEAD TO ME. Unfortunately my landlord isn't very sympathetic to a punk rock tour, and my lease is up right in the middle of this said tour. Damn! But on the bright side, I'm moving closer to the ocean, and that's always a great thing. Please everybody go out and support these bands and show some love in early April!!
What else...like much of the nation, I'm very excited about Obama, or as my future Mother in Law calls it, "Obama-rama." Is that taken yet? If not, you heard that shit here first. Its nice to have an actual HUMAN being with class and intelligence running for the most powerful office here. Like so many Americans, I'm completely disenfranchised when it comes to our political system. Its a joke and Americans are treated like imbeciles by our government, its no new news. The most aggravating part is politicians aren't even clever about pulling one over on us, they're not even good at acting the part. And that's how you know that "the man" has nearly won. When Governor Bush lied his way into war...and he did it in front of billions of people, what the fuck else is he getting away with that we *don't* know about?
Anyways, Obama-rama. The guy is just downright human, and I think that's all we ask of a president. Have some damn compassion for your fellow American, don't adhere to backbiting bipartisan politics, and just simply have good judgement and cut through as much red tape as you can to help the people who really need it in this country. Treat everyone how you would like to be treated, its not rocket science here folks, and I think Obama understands that. To me, a president is just a really good cheerleader and spokesperson, the House and Senate write and pass all the laws and bills anyways. Our president is simply like an agent, a PR guy if you will. So GO Obama, thank you for giving many Americans a splinter of faith in a hopeless government.

pickrset.com now has a feature on it where you can go back and review shows that you’ve been to. so if you went to any of the +44 shows on the last tour, you can post a review on the +44 pickrset site. one hint though, don’t post a review of the bumbershoot show, because we didn’t play that one. i also suggest that no matter what you thought of a show, in every review you post you should say that +44 “really brought the awesome” to it. thanks."
"Indiana Knows What’s Up

this past week i went back to indiana to visit. while out there, i took a photo of this sign. my family used to roll deep in this area back in the 1800’s, so they got to name a road after themselves. two hundred years later i come along and stand on top of a rental car in the rain taking this picture.
while we were there, we went to the olympia candy kitchen, where my grandparents hung out when they were in high school. they also make some of the best chocolates ever. if you order from them, check out the maple creams. yes sir… shout out to all my new friends at the warsaw, IN applebees. in any case, it was a fun trip. i’m back now, listening to koopa demos, getting ready to record their new album next month. they’re going to be playing a show at SXSW next week, as are our friends in our lunar activities. watch for both of those bands if you are in the area. by the way, i thought that the band name “koopa” was a really cool name, coming from the characters in the mario bros games. turns out two of the guys in the band are brothers, and their last name is koopa. all of a sudden they are just that much less clever…"
